It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our dear father and husband, Donald Antonio Tambeau, who passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family at Cassellholme for the aged. He was 96 years old.
Donald was a devoted husband to Gilberte (Rochefort) for an incredible 75 years. He was the cherished father of Lorraine (Ian) Aspinall, Ronald (Sherry), and Raymond (Gisèle). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Tracy Sutherland, Paul Tambeau, Melanie (Adam) Ross, and Philippe (Maxine) Tambeau.
A proud great-grandfather, Donald’s legacy continues through Lucas and Jonas Sutherland, Mia and Jackson Ross, and Félix Tambeau. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Tambeau, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church on May 23, 2025—an especially meaningful date, marking what would have been Donald and Gilberte’s 75th wedding anniversary.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Green-Ward and the amazing staff at Cassellholme, especially the exceptional caregivers on Birch who supported Donald daily with such compassion.
