Linda Mae Hewitson (nee Hopper), passed away peacefully at Chapman House on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Saugeen Township on March 31, 1948, she was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Hewitson. Loving mother of Rob Hewitson (Megan Garland) of Williamsford and Denise Hewitson (Donna Thomson) of Owen Sound. She was a cherished grandma to Abigail and Carter.
Linda was a dear sister of Carol Metzger and will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Ken and Marg Hopper, sisters Lenora Doll (Les), Shirley Eagles, brother David Hopper, and brother-in-law Wayne Metzger.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Spring Interment will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery.
