A cherished husband, father, G-Pa, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, after a brave journey with cancer, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Born on August 2, 1948, in Windsor, Ontario, Larry was the beloved son of late Cecilia and Arthur Seguin. He is predeceased by his dear brother, Denny.

Larry’s journey of love began with his wife, Elaine Seguin (nee Paré), with whom he shared an extraordinary bond for nearly 56 years. Their marriage was a testament to true partnership, marked by a profound friendship and an unwavering love that inspired all who knew them.

Larry Arthur Seguin was a dedicated and passionate businessman, having spent over 60 years with Home Hardware. He began his career working in his father’s store, where he cultivated a love for the trade that would last a lifetime. In 1988, he proudly became the owner of Tecumseh Home Hardware, and later, in 2013, expanded his legacy with Essex Home Hardware. His keen business sense, dedication, and hard-working nature were admired by all who had the privilege to know and work along-side him.

Outside of work, Larry found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer who treasured his days spent on the greens with many friends especially Jim and Roger. Larry loved the sunshine and serenity of Florida vacations and spending time with his Florida friends. A spirited card player, Larry was a member of the Windsor Men’s Euchre League, where his quick wit and “smart aleck” humour were as sharp as his card-playing skills.

Larry’s life was enriched by his loving family. He was the proud father of Brent (Bonnie-Dee) and Kimberly, and a devoted grandfather to Spencer (Kristie), Alex, Rylie, Cooper, Trevor, and Delilah. His siblings, Carol (Frank) and Bernard along with many nieces and nephews, held a special place in his heart. Larry’s in-laws, Janis, Patti, Linda (Sam), Connie (Tim), Mary Lou, Theresa (Mike), and Maureen (Barry), were cherished members of his extended family.

Larry’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Windsor Hospice for their compassionate care, with special thanks to Larry’s nurse, Mike, who offered extraordinary support and wonderful conversation. They also wish to acknowledge their family doctor, Dave Paterson, for his unwavering advocacy and care for Larry throughout his journey. Lastly we would like to thank our past and present Home Hardware team for their years of dedication.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Location (11677 Tecumseh Rd, East, Windsor, ON) on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm with Funeral Service at 7 pm.

In honour of Larry’s memory, donations can be made to the Windsor-Essex Hospice, an organization that provided comfort and dignity in his final days.

Though Larry’s physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
