It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anibal Aires, age 64, on August 26, 2026 at Toronto, Ontario.
Anibal Aires was born on February 13, 1962 in Alantejo, Portugal and lived a life marked by his love for his family, his strong work ethic, and his ability to tell you exactly what he thought. He is survived by his mother Rosa Aires, wife of nearly 45 years Fatima Aires, son Angelo Aires and daughter Stephanie Dougherty (Andrew Dougherty), granddaughter Marlowe Dougherty, and sisters Clara Aires, Susana Silva (Paulo Silva) and many nieces and nephews and predeceased by his father Francisco Aires.
The family will be holding a public visitation on August 31, 2026 at Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga http://www.uucm.ca( 84 South Service Road, Mississauga, Ontario L5G 2R9 ) http://www.uucm.ca from 6pm-8pm for those who would like to celebrate his life. He will be laid to rest, in Woodstock Ontario, at a private family-only ceremony.
