It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Michael Maznik, on August 29, 2026, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, with his loving parents, Mila and Myran, by his side. He was 39 years old.
From a young age, Jeff had a passion for drawing and creating art. He also loved working with his hands and took pride in his many skills, from handyman work and laying hardwood flooring to helping with new home construction.
Jeff enjoyed watching sports, especially football, car racing, the Toronto Blue Jays, and was a devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leaf’s.
He was fortunate to have many wonderful friendships that began in elementary school and continued throughout his life. These lifelong friendships were a testament to the kind of person Jeff was and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
Jeff will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor, which brought laughter and light to those around him. His humor and spirit helped carry him through difficult health struggles and extended hospital stays.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, surgeons, and the amazing nursing staff in CCU and G5 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their compassion, care, and support during Jeff’s time in the hospital.
Jeff will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family are kindly asking for donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Foundation
Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home, located at 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario L1J 2L4 on Saturday September 5th 2026 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Followed by a service in the Chapel starting at 1:30pm.
