It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eleftheria Dimopoulos, who passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on August 22, 2026.
Born on June 10, 1944, in Vragiana, Karditsa, Greece, Eleftheria was the daughter of Lambros and Eleni Tsinas, and sister to Evangelia, Olga, Dimitri, and Vasiliki. She shared a special bond with Vasiliki and her brother-in-law, Chris, one that remained strong and loving throughout the years.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Demetre, the love of her life. Together again, they rest in God’s eternal peace.
Eleftheria leaves behind her devoted daughters, Dina (Gus) Galanis and Georgina (Michael) Grombanopoulos.
She was the proudest and most loving Yiayia to Andreas (Irene), Leah, Jimmy, Sophia, and John. Her grandchildren were the greatest joy of her life. She celebrated every milestone, every visit, and every moment spent together, always making each of them feel deeply loved and cherished.
Eleftheria will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the strength and courage she carried throughout her life, and the kindness, loyalty, wit, and beautiful spirit that touched so many lives. She brought laughter and comfort wherever she went, leaving behind a lifetime of memories with her nieces (Keti, Eleni), nephews (Peter), friends, neighbours, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing she now rests peacefully in the loving embrace of the Lord. Her presence may be gone, but the love she gave us will remain in our hearts and live on through her family forever.
