It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary Lee Callahan, Rose was born on September 14, 1950, she passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 75.
Rose leaves behind her partner and the love of her life, Lynn Thornton. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Tom Callahan and Susan Callahan, as well as her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Callahan, and her sister, Kathleen Grosjean (née Callahan).
Rose was a strong and compassionate woman who was always ready to lend a helping hand. It never mattered whether someone was family, a friend, or a complete stranger—if someone needed her, Rose was there. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her caring heart, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and accepted.
Rose leaves behind a lifetime of love, kindness, laughter, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
There will be a celebration of Roses’ life at MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St. E. Cobourg) on Monday September 14th at 11:00am with a reception to follow.
