A self-taught guitarist, David found lasting joy in playing and listening to music. He also enjoyed hobby welding, using his skill and imagination to create distinctive pieces from metal. Motorcycles and the open road were another source of happiness. His dogs were treasured members of the family, and walks with his close companion Gates toward the Bluewater Bridge became especially meaningful moments.
