
Robert “Bob” Forshaw is remembered with love by his family, friends and community. This Robert Bob Forshaw obituary honours a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife, Yvonne Blais; children Roberta Forshaw and Nicholas Forshaw (Leanne); grandchildren Jordan, Cullan, Lillian, Cecilia, Justyn and Jayden; and great-grandchild Zevryn.
He is also remembered by his sisters Darlene and Sue and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and friends. Bob was predeceased by his sister Bonnie and brother Dennis.
Bob devoted 40 years to the Board of Education. In 1995, he joined the opening Table Games team at Casino Niagara, beginning a second career that continued for more than 20 years before his retirement.
Outside work, Bob enjoyed baseball as both a player and umpire. He also spent time as a disc jockey and valued the friendships and memories that grew from his many interests. His humour, generosity and enthusiasm for life will be remembered.
Celebration of life
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 58, 1180 Barton Street East, Hamilton, Ontario. Instead of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a charity chosen by the donor. Arrangements are entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc.
