John Henry Polmans died suddenly at his home in Cannington on September 4, 2026, with family beside him. He was 70.
John was the beloved husband of Debbie Bull. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Shannon Bull, Josh Polmans (Alica), Heather Bull, Jen Edgar (Phil) and Amy Matthews (Joel); his grandchildren, Joey, Jada, Keara, Kylee, Jack and Bay; and his great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Jackson.
He is also remembered by his siblings, Mary Miller (Andy), Paul Polmans (Isabel), Liz Livingston (Tim) and Wendy Smith (Rod). John was predeceased by his brother Andrew and by his parents, Min and Johannes “John” Polmans.
A private funeral was held September 7 at Thorne Funeral Home’s Cannington Chapel. Interment took place at Necropolis Presbyterian Cemetery in Cannington. Memorial donations may be made to the Brock Dench Animal Shelter.
