It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Whitfield on September 8, 2026.
Devoted husband of 49 years to Barb (Daniel). Loving father of Chris, and Kathy Sousa (Mike).
Dedicated and Caring Pop to Zachary and Owen.
Doug is predeceased by his Father Doug Senior, and nephew Jeff Munn.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Alva, and sister, Karin Munn (Keith).
Doug will be fondly remembered by his brothers in laws and sisters in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and fellow Shrine brothers.
Special thanks to the volunteers and staff of Innisfree House for the care and compassion they gave during his final days.
Cremation has taken place, a private family burial will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made in Doug’s memory to Innisfree House, or Shriners Children’s Hospital Canada would be gratefully appreciated.
