He passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026 surrounded by love and family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Francine Lacasse-Zizzo, his daughters Geneviève (Simon) and Natalie (Andrew). He was a cherished grandfather to Wallace, to whom he was delighted to be Papa. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Carolyn (Michael) Cornale, Charles (Clara), and Richard (Karen) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his dear brother Angelo and his wife Judy, and his beloved parents, Angelo and Angela (née Scime), whose guidance and love remained with him throughout his life.
David Anthony Zizzo was a charismatic and curious man, who enjoyed food, cooking, travel, photography, and a good deal. From his humble roots in Hamilton, David went on to become a world traveller. From helicopter rides in Australia, fish markets in Japan, vineyards in the Mediterranean, to spending his winters in the Dominican Republic, David was always in awe of how great life could be. But of all places, David loved most spending his time with his family, enjoying Friday night pizza night (with his famous dough) and playing Mexican train together.
