With cherished memories to comfort us and gratitude for the many years she blessed and loved us, the vanNoppen family announces the passing of Jannie vanNoppen (née DeBoer) at the age of 82. Born in Franeker, The Netherlands, Jannie went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2024, at Osgoode Care Centre, Metcalfe, Ontario. She immigrated to Canada with her husband and three oldest children and eventually settled in Winchester.
Beloved wife of Boudewijn (Bob) vanNoppen and loving mother of Renate (Dave), Marieke (Mike), Bob (BethAnn), David (Rebecca), Phil (Lisa), and Taka (Nikhila). Precious Oma to 34 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be very much missed by all who knew her.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the amazing Osgoode Care Centre staff for their loving care over the past year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Food for the Hungry Canada, Winchester District Memorial Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St., on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 AM. A private interment will be held by the family at a later date.
