It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Shannon. Shannon was resilience in human form. Through nearly three years of illness, she showed extraordinary courage, grace, and unwavering strength. Shannon was fierce in her love, generous in her kindness, and selfless in her nature.

To her family and friends, Shannon was a source of joy, light, and comfort. She faced fear head-on and never allowed it to define her. Shannon had a gift for turning ordinary moments into unforgettable celebrations. She had the ability to make others feel seen, supported, and deeply cared for. Shannon’s journey is a reminder to treasure the moments that matter most.

Shannon will be lovingly remembered by her husband Michael Shannon, and her stepchildren, Logan, Jarrett, and Alexis (Kyle). She will be dearly missed by her mother Donna Armstrong, sister Karen Cotie (Derek), niece and nephew, Jade (Michael) and Evan (Sophie), and nephew Derrick Forsberg (Rachel) and family. Shannon is survived by her mother-in-law Carol Butcher (Sheldon), father-in-law Mel Shannon (Joyce), sister-in-law Colleen Ferguson (Matt), nephews Ethan and Nolan, and brother-in-law Glenn Shannon (Joy). Shannon was predeceased by her father Richard Armstrong, sister Kimberly Armstrong, uncle Allan Loney, and brother-in-law James Cotie. Shannon will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Her spirit will live on forever through her husband, family, and friends. We are so grateful for the time we shared with a woman who taught us how to find the fun, live courageously, and celebrate life fully.

A special thank you to the Brockville General Palliative Care staff, Dr. van Jaarsveld, and the cancer clinic team at the Kingston General Hospital.

Rest peacefully, Shannon. Your legacy is eternal.
