George Crawford was born in Belfast, N. Ireland on October 12, 1935, and immigrated to Toronto, ON, in 1958. George was soon joined by Maureen Collins and married on July 4, 1959. George worked for GM Canada for many years as a pattern maker. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending auctions and yard sales looking for tools and furniture to restore.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the caring staff at Henley House Nursing Facility for the exceptional compassion and kindness shown to George during the last five years of his life.
Keeping with George’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 p.m., at the Holiday Inn, 327 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, ON. The family will lay George to rest alongside his wife, Maureen, on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc.
