Dave Van Manen
March 11, 1964 – December 5, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dave Van Manen on December 5, 2024, at the age of 60. Beloved husband to Esther, and loving father to Connor and Arianna, Craig and Hannah, Colin, Chris and Erica. Dave was also a cherished grandfather to Sam and Josiah. He was the son of Jake and Stena Van Manen, and the son-in-law of Peter (2015) and Paulina Vanderweerd.
He will be deeply missed by his siblings Ken and Diane, Lisa and Steve, Jennifer and Kevin, and his many in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Dave’s kindness, humor, and deep faith touched all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, reminding us of the words: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in Him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” – John 15:4-5.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm & 6:00-8:00 pm. A service will be held at the Heritage Reformed Congregation, 685 Main Street South, Burgessville, ON, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 am. Pastor David Lipsy will officiate, with interment to follow at the Springford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dave can be made to VON Sakura House or Oxford Reformed Christian School.
