Gary Douglas Nugent
August 15, 1944 – October 22, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and papa, Gary Nugent, in his 80th year on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife Pat of 54 years and his daughters Penny (Steve) McCoy and Terri (Jason) Mattina, along with his beloved granddaughter Zoe Belle. Gary also leaves behind his brother Neil (Josie) and his sister Dianne. He is predeceased by his sister Berna, his parents, and his step-mother May.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at Idlewyld Manor, who cared for him with compassion and ensured his safety and comfort.
Gary will be cremated and interred. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton.
