We sadly announce the passing of J. Garry Lewis on July 19 2026 in his 90th year. He was a devoted husband to Kathy for 66 enjoyable years, a wonderful father to Brenda (Bryan), Sharon and Mark and a special grandpa to Jeff, Eric, Ethan, Kiara and Temira.
Garry was born in Roland, Manitoba. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba in 1959. His career transitioned into marketing in various industries. Garry started his own company in 1980. It provided retail information services and proved very successful.
After retirement, Garry and Kathy enjoyed many years with family and friends at Horseshoe Valley and Alliston as well as winters in Hilton Head and Florida—golf being a primary activity.
Garry was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and later years proved challenging but Garry faced these challenges with strength, dignity and humour. Many will remember Garry’s dry wit. He was a dynamic man who will be missed. May he bring a smile to your face when you think of him.
