Douglas Woods

Douglas Erwin Woods peacefully passed away on September 6th, 2026 at Centennial Place in Millbrook.

Beloved husband of 51 years to Muriel. Dear father of Sara (Brad) and Judd (Marissa). Loving Grandfather to Thurston, Bea and Huxley. Predeceased by his parents Nora and Gordon (Sally).

Doug enjoyed cars, canoeing, and traveling in his campervan. Doug and Muriel loved square dancing and were part of many groups from Toronto to Peterborough. Doug had a deep appreciation for the arts and enjoyed music, ballet, theatre, photography, writing and design. Doug loved traveling with his family taking them coast to coast in Canada and throughout the USA, although his favorite place was Sandbanks. Doug will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th from 11am-12pm at Northcutt Elliot Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville, followed by the service at 12pm and reception at 1pm.

If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
