She lived 75 years and five days. She was born on September 7, 1951, in Eriu-Sâncrai, Satu Mare County, Romania.
Margareta Terezia Bâle ended her life on this earth, departing for the next, on September 12, 2026, in Toronto, Canada.
She grew up in a special family, with a strong devotion to faith in God. In 1972, the young Margareta also decided to follow the same path of faith for the rest of her life, and she remained faithful to that decision. She attended elementary school and high school, and the profession she chose was nursing, in which she worked for many years in Romania. She loved being close to those who were ill in order to help them.
On January 4, 1981, she had her religious marriage ceremony in Satu Mare with Ioan Bâle, who was then a fifth-year university student in Timișoara. From their marriage they had four children: Hadasa Beatrice, Marcu Dorian, Ketura Valentina, and Iosif Natan Vasile, all of whom became Canadian citizens after 1997. Her children gave her eight grandchildren, who loved their grandmother very much, just as she loved them.
The great accomplishment of her life was her family and her Christian faith. It was one of her greatest joys to save a little money so that she could treat her grandchildren to cake and ice cream. She was attentive toward her husband, for whom she had a special appreciation.
The values that guided her were Christian values, and her contributions to the community were made through women’s groups organized around Christian life. Among her moral qualities, generosity and devotion shone brightly. Her moments of joy were always shadowed by the fact that her parents departed too early for the other realm—her father at the age of 60, her mother at 68, and her three brothers much earlier.
Those who remain from her family are her husband, Ioan Bâle; her daughters Hadasa Beatrice and Ketura Valentina; and her sons Marcu Dorian and Iosif Natan Vasile. The deceased carries her wishes to Heaven for all of them, as well as for her grandchildren, and for Paul Lunga, the husband of her granddaughter Miriam Cozma.
I believe she would be entitled to say, like the Apostle Paul:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day, and not to me only, but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
(2 Timothy 4:7–8)
The funeral will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
