Surrounded by her family and much love, Sharron Marie Legault died on September 17, 2026, at 10:46 a.m. after a nine-day struggle. Her family remembers a kind, gentle and giving woman with a heart of gold.
Born on October 2, 1948, to William St. Denis and Valerie Rose Morin, Sharron devoted much of her life to caring for others. She worked at Twin Lakes Terrace for 16 years, building lasting relationships with many residents. After retiring, she remained there for another 10 years as a resident in a community where she was deeply loved.
Music brought Sharron great happiness. She loved playing guitar and singing, and her family treasures memories of the joy she shared through her songs.
Family was at the centre of Sharron’s life. She is survived by her husband, Bob Legault, whose daily care and companionship remained a constant source of devotion; her daughter, Angela (Jimmy Fraser); her grandchildren, Shirley Fraser (Wade Loxton), Jimmy Fraser (Shay Fraser) and Tori Fraser (Colton Willis); and her great-grandchildren, Carson and Cam Loxton, and Leta Fraser.
She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Hélèn and Carole, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, former residents and coworkers. Sharron was predeceased by her parents; her son, Marcel Dubé; and her siblings Lucien, Marie, Len, Melvin, Verna, Joe, Shirley, Mick and her twin, Shannon.
Her family finds comfort in believing that she has been reunited with Marcel, her parents, her siblings and loved ones who died before her. They encourage others to cherish their time together, preserve family memories and hold loved ones close.
Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home’s McKenzie Blundy Chapel, 431 Christina Street North in Sarnia, on Friday, October 2, 2026, from noon until 1:00 p.m. A celebration of Sharron’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial of her ashes at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of choice. The funeral home accepts cheques only.
