Corrado Sortino passed away Wednesday September 16, 2026 at the age of 91 peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Cherished husband of late Maria Privitera Sortino. Loved and remembered by his daughters Lucia Vella and Silvia (Carlos Vieira son in law). It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and family man. He has been reunited with his wife and cherished loved ones who have welcomed him with open arms. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Ava, Arabella, Bronson, Michele, and Enzo). Proud and loving grandfather to Marco, Melinda, Sergio , and Marianna, who brought immense joy and fulfillment in watching them grow and celebrating many milestones in his grandchildren’s lives. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Vincenzo (Cettina sister in law) along with nieces and nephews.
Dad loved fishing and hunting and spending his summers outside working on his beautiful garden and he especially enjoyed going to Sicily every year with his beloved wife.
May he rest in eternal peace .
Visitation will be held at the De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa on Wednesday, September 23rd from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Gardens in North York.
