Unexpectedly passed away on September 20, 2026 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 89th year.

Beloved husband of Elaine for 63 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and countless memories that will be cherished forever. Loving father of Dawn, Carolyn (Luca), and Travis. Cherished grandfather of Bryan, Nicholas (Morgan), Kayla, Alex (Destiny), Natasha (Daben), Justin, Melanie (Michael), TJ, Sean (Yenny), and David, and proud great-grandfather of 7.

John Brian Jasmins was a devoted family man who treasured the time he spent with those he loved. His quiet strength, unwavering support, kindness, and caring nature meant so much to his family and to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was someone his family could always count on, and his presence brought comfort, love, and familiarity to so many lives.

John will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews including John Paul Jasmins (Kris Tina) and Jane Posavad, his sister in-law B-J Jasmins, extended family, and friends. His memory will live on through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he touched along the way.

Though his passing was unexpected, the love John gave and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to your local food bank. Arrangements entrusted to Armstrong Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.armstrongfh.ca
