With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sheila Waller on September 21, 2026, at the age of 80 at Milton District Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Sheila leaves behind her beloved husband, Ernie Waller, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, family, and memories.
Sheila was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Lily Roberts; her son-in-law, Rob Hicks; and her brothers-in-law, Stan Moneypenny and Chuck Petty.
She was a devoted mother to Tara Waller and Greg (Amy) Waller, and a loving mother-in-law to Christina Kelman. She was a loving grandmother to Sarah (Jeff) Buscarino and Emily (Cody) Waller, and was especially proud to be a great-grandmother to Nora Buscarino, who brought her so much joy.
Sheila will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Frank (Linda) Roberts, Margaret Moneypenny, and Joseph (Lorraine) Roberts; and her siblings-in-law, Ena Petty, Gary (Lorraine) Waller, and Robert (Ying) Waller. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.
For more than 30 years, Sheila worked as an in-home daycare provider for Halton Region. Caring for children came naturally to her, and over the decades she welcomed many little ones into her home and played a special part in their lives.
Sheila had a wonderful eye for making a house feel like a home. She loved home design, decorating, and spending time in her garden. She was always dreaming up a new way to arrange a room and would often wait for Ernie to come home so he could move the furniture according to her latest vision. Together, Sheila’s ideas and Ernie’s helping hands made their home a place she was always proud of.
Above all, Sheila’s greatest love was her family. She will be remembered for the life she built, the people she cared for, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
Sheila will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a private visitation for Sheila’s family.
All are welcome to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at St. Joseph, Patron of Canada Catholic Church, 64 Church Street East, Acton, Ontario. Mass will begin at 1:30 p.m., with a reception and light refreshments to follow in the parish reception hall.
