It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Richard Parizeau, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on September 20, 2026, at the age of 72.
Son of the late Rodolphe Parizeau and Shirley Vilon, Richard shared more than 45 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories with his soulmate and love of his life, Darleen Scrivener.
He will forever remain in the hearts of his children: Sylvain, Celine (Marc Laurin), Ricky, Kimberly (Adam Arnold), and Jodie-Lynn (Paul Howard). He was Grand-père to Nycia, Alexandra, Kevin, and Emilia, and the adored Poppa to Savannah, Kylie, Jaxson, Matthew, Noah, Riley, and Austin. He also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren.
Richard also leaves behind his brother Wayne and his two sisters, Nicole and Francine. He was predeceased by his son Marc; his brothers Danny, David, and Rudy; and his sister Doris. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
The family will receive condolences beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Luskville Community Hall, located at 2024 QC-148, Luskville, QC J0X 2G0. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m.
The interment will take place at a later date in the privacy of the family.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Pascal Croteau for his exceptional care, compassion, and support throughout Richard's journey. Special thanks also go to the staff at Shawville Hospital, especially Elaine, Kayla, Assia, and Paul, for their care and support. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to RJ Erwin Transport for their kindness and generosity.
They sincerely thank everyone who will join them in thought or in presence during this difficult time.
