Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the age of 86 years. Dearly beloved wife of Anthony, 61 years married.
Loving mother of Bryan, Barry (Aylisson), and Nicole (John). Cherished Vicky of Anthony, Leah, Allysa, Ty, Nadia, Michael and Rosina.
Survived by her siblings Yvonne, Rita, Evelyn, Mavis, Doris, Jean, Matthew, and Albert. Will be missed by Stephen, Rochelle and her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Sheila brought the bright sunshine, rich rhythm, and undeniable warmth of Trinidad into every life she touched. She was fiercely vibrant and unapologetically funny, with a gift for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories through her quick wit and infectious laughter.
She loved her culture deeply and lived for the rhythm and vibrant energy of the Caribana festival—a celebration that truly matched her joyful, dancing spirit. She expressed her care for others through her incredible cooking and baking, and that generous heart led her to dedicate her time to volunteering at the soup kitchen in Oshawa. Her joyful soul, quick humor, and caring spirit will continue to shine bright in the lives of everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King Street West, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 12:30 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 pm.
