It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Garry Nicholas Roach. He is predeceased by his parents, Ambrose and Mary, brothers Willie(Judy), Ron(Shirley) and his sister Linda. Garry will be sadly missed, and fondly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Nancy(nee Winter), their two boys Brian (Michelle) and Ian (Jess) and his most cherished grandchildren, Cameron, Ashleigh, Ethan and Gabe. Garry was a loving older brother to Bev (John), Shirley (Chris), Charlie (Diane), Gord (Tina) and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Garry passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, and even in his final moments, managed to exhibit that sweet mix of humour and strength he was famous for. He was constantly caring for those around him, generous with his time, and never turned away a visitor, or someone looking for a quick dip in his (usually frigid) swimming pool. He was effortlessly funny, a natural conversationalist and put everyone at ease with his gentle spirit, his big laugh, and a cold beer. He will be missed at every family dinner, every hearty debate, every campfire, every cottage, every time we just need advice, a TV show recommendation, a wise opinion or an electrical fuse replaced.
