
Marie Louise Smith passed away peacefully in Kamloops after living with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Kamloops on May 6, 1937, to Louise and Arthur Wright, she studied nursing, married Earl Harry Smith, and raised Brian, Linda, Leanne, and Rita.
Marie and Earl operated the Dog N Suds Drive-In in Valleyview and later worked together in financial consulting and tax services. She enjoyed travel, music, singing, piano and organ, and was active in her Catholic faith and the Catholic Women’s League. She is remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, sister-in-law, and their families.
A memorial Mass and luncheon will be held October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Kamloops.
