Bill was born and raised in Edmonton. At the age four, all of his siblings were separated. Bill went to a foster home with his two younger sisters for a short time and then was moved to a Boys Ranch, where he lived for a few years. After leaving the ranch, Bill was living life, reuniting with some family, and enjoying his late teens/early 20’s. In 1995 he met Stacey and her two children, Alyssa and Andrew, had their son Shawn in 1996, and were together until 2015. After the relationship ended, Bill moved around quite a bit, never really settling anywhere for too long. In 2024, his son Shawn was declared a missing person. This was very hard on Bill but he never gave up hope that Shawn would be found. He distanced himself from most of his family in Alberta, to find some peace and landed in Toronto.
Bill had many jobs throughout his lifetime. He worked at a pizza joint to HydroVac companies to being a dump truck driver. He loved The Edmonton Oilers and he loved Ozzy. Bill had a great sense of humour and a laugh so contagious, you’d have to laugh as well. Bill was the life of the party. He loved to drink, he danced like his Dad and always had a good time. Bill loved Snapchat, often taking pictures and videos with his nieces, nephews and anyone else who wanted to participate. Bill loved to draw and was quite a talented sketch artist.
Left behind to mourn his death, his son Shawn, his sisters, Wynda(Arthur), Tracy, Tanya, Linda(Holger) and Lisa(Sandy). His brothers, Elliott(Katrina), Stuart(Krista), Chad(Melissa), Steven, and Ed and 37 nieces and nephews. As well as many cousins and other family members and friends.
Bill was predeceased by his Dad Ed in 1990, his Mom Gladys in 2009, his sister Wendy in 2018 and his nephew Jazen in 1986.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
