Rita St. Pierre (née Godard), also known as Sister Jeanne-Mance, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at the age of 94. Born in Cornwall, she served as a missionary nun and later worked as a teacher and principal. She is remembered by her daughters Francine and Roxanne, brother Maurice, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, former students, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Lahaie & Sullivan Funeral Home’s West Branch in Cornwall on October 8 and October 9. A funeral Mass will follow at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in St. Andrews West on October 9 at 1:00 p.m., with interment at St. William’s Cemetery in Martintown.
