Barbara Rego, born in Georgetown, Guyana, on December 10, 1942, passed away on October 4, 2026. She immigrated to Canada in 1974 and built a career in retail management before retiring in 2006.
Barbara is remembered by her children Karen and Bernard, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends. Visitation and a memorial service will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home in Bowmanville on October 9 and 10, 2026. Memorial donations may be made to the Lakeridge Health Foundation in support of seniors’ health.
