It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Toby Eleanor Greig (née Hannan) on October 19, 2026.

Toby was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, aunt and loyal friend whose kindness, strength, and generosity touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind her beloved husband and best friend, Brian Alexander Greig, and her treasured son, Cameron Diston Greig and his spouse, Brett Greig.

Toby is lovingly remembered by her older brother, Brian Hannan, his wife Maureen, and their children Lindsay, Jamie, and Brandon. She also leaves behind her twin brother, Derek Hannan, and his wife Tracey, along with their children: Chelsee and her spouse Jacob, and their children Piper and Sawyer; Dylan and his wife Kylie, and their children Jaxon and Hudson; and Joshua. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Sharon and niece Julie.

Lovingly supported during her years in Scotland by her loving Aunt Aileen and Uncle John Whiteford.

Toby was predeceased by her loving mother, Eleanor Hannan; her beloved older sister, Kim, wife of Mo and loving mother of Max; and her cherished mother-in-law, Margaret Greig.

Born with a caring heart and a giving spirit, Toby touched countless lives through her warmth, compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. She created lasting friendships wherever she went and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. She will be remembered fondly by family and friends throughout Scotland, England, and Canada, whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Toby’s wonderful work family. Special thanks are given to all her colleagues and friends at Sobeys/Foodland, including the teams at Newcastle Foodland, Elliot Lake Foodland, Coboconk Foodland, and the Sobeys Corporate Office. Your friendship, support, encouragement, and care meant so much to Toby and her family and will never be forgotten.
