He was predeceased by: his father Archie Burwell; and his parents-in-law, Marian and Leo Hetherington. He is survived by: his wife Leanne; his daughters, Adrienne Le Souder (Mark) and Emily Smyth (Derek); his mother Shirley Burwell; his siblings, Randy Burwell (Rachel) and Anna Gohm (Adam Tweedle); and his grandchildren, Erica Smyth and Cameron Le Souder. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ostrander’s Funeral Home (43 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3T6). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Pentecostal Church (269 Quarter Town Line, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3V4).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Church or Global Shore Opportunities (Guatemala Missions).
