We announce the death of Boris Yacyshyn of Guelph, Ontario, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 88. Boris will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Yacyshyn and Mary Ukrainetz (Donald). He is survived by: his children, Kathy Parker (Lyle), Debbie Yacyshyn, Brenda Yacyshyn, Wayne Yacyshyn (Andrea) and Michael Yacyshyn (Nicole); his grandchildren, Tricia Robson, Kristi Fairweather (Shawn), Dwayne Parker (Jennifer), Robert Nezic, Jennifer Reid (Paul), Laura-Lee Nezic, Tanya Robson and Cearra Yacyshyn; and his great grandchildren, Shia, Riley, Jaelen, Chase, Emily, Remy, Rae-Lynne and Katelyn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith’s Funeral Home – Guelph Line (1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON L7P2S7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (855 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L3B4).
