With sadness, we share the passing of Marilyn Ortwein of Guelph, Ontario. Marilyn, born on April 14, 1941, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Marilyn for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Marilyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She is survived by: her children, Alison Gerrits (Ian) and Tom Ortwein (Kristen); and her grandsons, Ben, Rowan, Andrew, Jackson and Sam.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Smith’s Funeral Home (1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON L7P2S7).
