William “Bill” Lorne Pegg, age 78, of Sunderland, Ontario, passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 29th 2026.
Born on October 31, 1947, in Sutton Ontario, Bill was the only son of Morley and Mary Pegg. He graduated from the University of Guelph before becoming a teacher- specializing as a music and science teacher, working at Aurora Sr. Public School for 35 years. He was known to be exceptionally dedicated to his work- going above and beyond for his students as instrumental band leader and Basketball coach. His dedication to his work was surpassed only by his selfless devotion to his family. He enjoyed playing musical instruments, watching classic western movies, woodworking- especially creating toys for his children, golfing and working outdoors on his property. He was a kind man with a wry sense of humor, and great compassion for animals. He will be greatly missed by his small group of lifelong friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Janet; and his 3 children: Michael, Jane and Sam as well as his 2 grandchildren William Pegg and Anna Pegg. He is also survived by his sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Donald Ridsdill.
