Barbara Olive Simpson

October 8, 1925 – November 3, 2026

Barbara Olive Simpson

Barbara Olive Simpson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of one hundred and one on November 3, 2026. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Known for her boundless optimism, playful humour and profound love for her family, Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Barbara’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.

She is preceded in death by her husband George, her children Edith (Terry), John (Sandra), Sharon, and Glenda (Antonio), and her grandchildren Emily and Rachel. She is survived by her grandchildren Jason (Carolyn), Melissa (Gregory), Elliot, Jennifer (Kenneth), Erik, and Michael, and by her great-grandchildren Beckham, James, Amelia, Oliver, Claire, Hazel, Viola, Addison, Evelyn, George, and Vivian.

At Barbara's request, there will not be a funeral, though a private ceremony will be held for immediate family members. The family asks that donations to Canadian Red Cross be made instead of flowers or other gifts.
