PICARD, Gayle (nee JUDGE)   - Gayle passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday February 18, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late James. Devoted and much loved mother of Kelly (Yuri Kuzmyn) and Michael (Cheryl), and cherished grandmother of Holly and Russell Kuzmyn and Kim Perricelli (Loui) and great-grandmother to Olivia and Gabe.

Dearly loved sibling of Diane Kanafa (Stan, deceased), Peter (Sue) and Gary (deceased), and sister-in-law of Helen (Picard) Larabie (Gerry, deceased). Caring aunt of Cory (Cameron), Tina (Gary), Susie (Barry) and Michelle (Todd), and their children Hillary, Haley, Gary Jr., Christopher, Brianne, Brent, Mercedes and Madison.

Dear longtime friend of Muriel Foran (David, deceased) and children Debbie, Charles and Michael. Gayle inspired her family and friends with her optimism. Keeping in touch with her grandchildren brought joy to Gayle, and she encouraged and cheered them on in their endeavours.

Born in 1935 in Noranda, Quebec, to parents Noble and Marie Judge (Cloutier), Gayle grew up in Kearns, Ontario. She met and married Jim and started a family in Blind River before moving to Bramalea.

Gayle loved to travel and took many trips with friends and family during vacations from her rewarding career at Sears. She retired with Jim to Bowmanville where they made many new friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Bowmanville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to plant a Memorial Tree in Partnership with the Canadian Institute of Forestry, the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation UHN, Bowmanville Hospital Foundation, Community Care Durham or to a charity of choice.
