ATTWOOD, Linda Elizabeth (Perrins) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Elizabeth Attwood at the age of 67.
She died peacefully on September 6, 2021 at Scarborough General Hospital.
Born June 23, 1954 in Claremont, South Africa, Linda was the daughter of the late Ernest Harold Perrins and Marjorie Winnifred Perrins and was the younger sister to Janet Obery (ne Perrins).
In her home town of Wynberg, South Africa, Linda quickly became a diligent student and an outstanding athlete. As a sprinter, she could be found at track and field meets leaving her competition behind.
She married Kenneth Frank Attwood in 1976 and gave birth to her only child, Tanya, in 1978.
In 1979, the family immigrated to Canada and settled first in Toronto on Esterbrooke Avenue. They eventually acquired their permanent residence in Scarborough.
Linda was a devoted mother, granny, and friend. She found her greatest joy spending time with her grandsons, who were the apples of her eye.
Linda is survived by her partner, Randy Cribbie; her daughter, Tanya Attwood; son-in-law, Shawn Ramautar; two grandsons, Jacob and Benson Ramautar; older sister, Janet Obery; niece Samantha Thomas (ne Obery) and her husband Gareth; two nephews Michael Obery, Matthew Obery and his partner Andrea Fisher as well as their son Adam; and countless extended family members.
Visitation and funeral service on Saturday September 11, 2021 with Ajax Crematorium & Visitation Centre.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
