CARTY, Steve   - January 12, 1934 - December, 29, 2021

It is with great sadness that we share news of Steve's passing on Wednesday, December 29th, after a prolonged illness.

Steve was a beloved husband and best friend to Jean, cherished father to Kathleen (Kevin and his children) and loving Dy to Lachlan.

Steve was the brotherly protector to his two sisters Agnes (Brian) and Elizabeth (Greg) in the UK, loved brother-in-law to Rose (James), and adored uncle to many nieces and nephews including Stuart, Suzie, Simon, Ali, Calum and Ross. Steve was born in Dunfermline, Scotland and came to Toronto in 1962 to play professional football for the Ukrainian America Soccer Association.

He was a skilled electrician and owned his own successful electrical company for over 35 years while living on his hobby farms in Pickering and later in Brooklin, Ontario. Together Steve and Jean raised Kathleen and many Welsh Mountain ponies over the years.

At Steve's request, there will be no funeral services.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Ajax-Pickering Hospital Foundation.

Jean and Kathleen are truly grateful for the love and support of their neighbours Danny and Marie and Richard and Jane; and to Hailey and Mathy for the kind and professional care they provided to Steve over the past few months.
