DUNN, James (Jim) Russell Jim Dunn  - 82, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021 at the Ajax-Pickering Hospital with his wife and daughters by his side.

Jim was born on July 26, 1939 in Toronto, the only son of Gladys and Albert Dunn.

Jim met the love of his life, Ilean Holman, at East York Collegiate. They married on October 25, 1961 and Jim welcomed Ilean's parents, Bill and Grace Holman and siblings, Linda and Bill to his family.

He turned his love of cars into a career and spent many years as a Shell station operator and auto mechanic in downtown Toronto.

He loved people and always managed to meet someone who knew him, no matter how far or wide he travelled.

Jim was husband to Ilean for 60 years, Dad to Wendy and Kim, J.R. to sons-in-law Greg and Rick and GP (Grandpa) to Jazmin, Ahren, Kyle and Tyler.

His family loved him dearly and are deeply saddened by his loss.

After watching his challenges with Alzheimer's and Parkinson disease, his family take comfort knowing that he has found peace. Jim was a kind, caring and generous spirit who embraced life and loved to spend time with family and friends.

Throughout his lifetime he enjoyed spinning great stories, sharing a joke (or two!), time at the cottage, classic cars and car shows, family get togethers, playing cards, dancing, good books, watching football and hockey, ice cream and birthday hot dogs and orange pop. In accordance with his wishes, Jim will be cremated and no service will be held.

If you wish to make a donation in his memory, please do so to the charity of your choice.
