MIDDLETON, Ronald F. - March 7, 1930 - January 4, 2022 (age 91)
Ron passed away surrounded by family in the early hours of Tuesday January 4, 2022 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay at 91 years of age.
Ron was born on March 7, 1930 to Frederick and Winnifred Middleton of Prospect, Ontario and spent his childhood on the family farm with his brothers Reg, Bob and Ken.
After attending school in Blackstock and re-locating to Prince Albert, Ron married Joan Cook who became his lifelong companion. Together they raised four daughters while Ron was a GM employee. After a long career at the motors he and Joan retired to their home on Canal Lake and later resided in Port Perry.
Ron is predeceased by the love of his life, Joan (2019).Loving father of Joanne (Rick), Terri (Mike), Donna (Brian) and Cheryl (William). Predeceased by his son-in-law, Glen Howsam. Cherished by numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Dearly loved brother of Ken (Audrey). Predeceased by his parents Frederick & Winnifred Middleton and brothers, Reg and Bob. He will always be remembered for a life well lived and his generosity.
We are forever grateful to Adelaide Place for the wonderful care Dad received during his years spent with his ‘second family’. Also, a huge thank you to the Palliative Care Team at Ross Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care in his final days.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Ron will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert on Tuesday September 20th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following at Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry.
