SOLTES, Gennie Jean (Genya) (nee PYNDYKOWSKI) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gennie Jean (Genya) Soltes, on March 18, 2022, at 94 years of age, at the Ajax/Pickering Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Soltes, July 1988.
Loving mother to Leon Soltes (Ruth) and Lynn Yeaman (Errol), grandmother to Jennifer Yeaman and great-grandmother to Ruby Yeaman.
She will be forever loved and missed by her nephew, David Senuick (Heather) and their children, Katherine, Steven (Melissa), and Scott.
She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law, Jean Mostad (Ernie), as well as her cousins, Nadia Dankowich and Iris Trewin.
She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Darryl-Ann Grossman, Corrie Soltes, Patricia Ritcey (Norman), Michelle Davidson, Kathryn Des Jardins, Dan Des Jardins, Bonnie Holloway, Sandra Abrahams (Norman), Dale Debets (Bob), Debbie Patkau (Dale), Wendy Rech, and Donald Yaworsky. Also missing her are extended family, friends, and neighbours.
A celebration of her life will be held at the McEachnie Funeral Home, on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a CHARITY of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
