RICHENS, Janice - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Janice, after her courageous battle with cancer.
Janice Kathleen Richens passed away peacefully April 4, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Janice was born in Toronto to John and Tressa Little on September 8, 1947.
After growing up in Parkdale, she met her beloved Chris, and they then married in 1969.
A few years later, they welcomed their son, Stephen into their lives. Janice devoted her life to her family and friends - always cooking, entertaining, and caring for everyone before herself.
We will miss her more than words can say.
Janice is survived by her husband, Christopher; son, Stephen (Nori); sister, Sharlene (Michael); brother-in-law, Andrew (David); along with countless nieces, nephews, friends and very dear neighbours.
Janice was predeceased by her twin sister, Joanne, and older sisters, Dolores and Lorraine.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Janice's life at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby, ON, Sunday, May 15th, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre, as expressions of sympathy, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
