DEERY, Elizabeth (nee McCarthy) Deery -
JULY 3, 1925 – FEBRUARY 12, 2023
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Thorntonview Nursing Home on Sunday, February 12th, 2023 at the age of 97 years.
Elizabeth was the matriarch of the family and will be remembered as a loving mother, a kind, generous and spiritual soul. Predeceased by her beloved husband Hugh.
Loving mother of Catherine Rogers, Michael, Maureen Armstrong, Late Hugh Jr "Buddy", Patricia Luft, Johnny, and Kevin.
Cherished Grandmother (Nana) of Jeremiah (Susan), Patrick (Becky), Michael (Rebecca), Quinn, George (Renata), Late Melanie, Christine (Sean), Brandon, and Nicole (Scott).
Great Grandmother of Jackson, Mitchel, Cooper, Maya, Jacob, Isla, Esme, and one on the way. Will be missed by her surviving siblings Mary, Paddy, Joan and family in Ireland, and her special friend of 70 years, Irene Thompson.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (903 Giffard St, Whitby) on (Time and date to be confirmed)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children, as Elizabeth always had a great fondness for children.
