Thiebaud MarcTHIEBAUD, Marc  -

November 21, 1942 - January 2, 2024

After a 32-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Marc Thiebaud passed away in peace with his family by his side on January 2, 2024 at 81 years old.

Beloved Husband of 46 years to Cheryl.

Proud Father of Michelle (Mike), Marc and Jennifer (Nick).

Devoted Stepfather to Nancy (Rick) and Deborah (John).

Adored Grandfather to Ashley, Alex, Matthew, Harper, Waverly, Charlie and Odin.

Dear Brother to Jacqueline (late Fred), Late Jean (Patricia), Late Annette (Alex) and Rene (Kathy). Marc will be dearly missed by his many friends, nieces and nephews, and colleagues from his years of service in the community and his beloved landscape industry.

Born in Switzerland, Marc came to Canada when he was a young boy. His father started Oshawa Garden Services, which Marc took over in 1974. It grew to become an award-winning premier Landscape company and still operates today as the OGS Landscape Group located in Brooklin.

Marc was a prominent and respected member of the Landscape Industry helping to form the provincial association, Landscape Ontario and serving as it’s President in 1975 and later as the president of the National Association, CNLA in 1980-83.

He received the highest honor, Honorary life membership from both the associations, for his years of dedication.

Marc was also a devoted member of his local community serving as the President of the Oshawa Kinsmen Club in 1980 which was at the time the largest in Canada.

The historic Parkwood Estate was also very dear to him as he sat on the Board of Directors and served as the Head Groundskeeper for many years.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff of Lakeridge Gardens for their devoted care.

A private memorial will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can be sent to the MS Society of Canada.
