Thompson AllenTHOMPSON, Allen “Sam”  - After a courageous battle with cancer, Sam passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday June 16, 2018, in his 82nd year.

Beloved husband of Nellie (nee Kube) for 56 years.

Loving father of Brenton (Tracey) and Christine Charkavi.

Cherished Grampie of Phillip (Rebecca), Robert, Trisha, Kristen, Adam and a great grandson on the way.

Survived by his brother Orval Thompson (Delores).

A special thank you to Dr. Freeman, his team and the 11th floor staff at Mount Sinai Hospital.

The family would also like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the 17th floor at Princess Margaret Hospital for their care and compassion.

Sam had dedicated many years to the Bowmanville Minor Hockey Association and enjoyed coaching and refereeing.

He loved watching his grandchildren play sports.

Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday June 21st from 11am-1pm.

Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 1 pm.  Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
