Suddenly in hospital on Friday, December 20, 2024, Allison Anne McLaren passed away at the age of 68. Loving partner of Stan Estabrooks, mother of Nathan, Alex, and Andrea, and Nana of Zola, Theo, and Sebastien. She leaves behind her beloved sister Gail.
Right up until the end, Allison remained the most caring and thoughtful person many of us have ever known. Her life was dedicated to enriching the lives of others with her wisdom, humanity, and unselfish love. Allison joined the teaching staff of Metcalfe (Cooperative) Nursery School in 1989 and was a founder of what is now Rural Family Connections. She deeply valued every student she met and loved helping new and returning parents in any way she could.
Allison would want to be celebrated with kindness, joy, a handful of peanuts for the chipmunks and chickadees, and a joyful greeting to the Canadian geese in the spring.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Allison’s life at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St., on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Condolences may be left at Daley Family Funeral Home.
