December 24, 1929 - February 16, 2025

Eveleen Allen (née Schell), widow of William John "Jack" Allen, passed away on February 16, 2025,
at Kingston General Hospital in her 96th year.

She will be missed by her son Roger, daughter Linda (Terry), grandchildren Liz and Xander "Sandy" (Lindsay),
and great-grandchildren Noah, Holden, and Scarlett, as well as her extended family.

Eveleen was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, son Garry, parents George and Irene, and siblings Bud (Marj) and Lena (Lew).

A chapel service will take place at James Reid Funeral Home,
1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM,
with friends being received from 10:00 - 10:50 AM prior to the service.
Interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Glenburnie, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Eveleen to a charity of your choice.

Gerald Randall Marchen

December 17, 1951 - February 17, 2025

Gerald Randall "Randy" Marchen passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, at Providence Care Hospital at the age of 73.
Survived by his beloved wife of over 53 years, Linda (née Marlow), children Cindy (Todd) and Tim (Andrea), and grandchildren
Summer, Zach, Hailey, Ben, Ethan, Matthew, and Noah.

Randy will be missed by his sister Kathy (John) and brother Eric. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Vivian Marchen (née Hartwick).

Randy was a devoted family man who most enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a gentle soul
who found joy in fishing and hunting.

Cremation has been entrusted to James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON.
A private family graveside service will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation may do so to UHKF – Cancer Centre in Randy’s honor.

Lorie passed away suddenly at the age of 61. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother.

Stephen Allison Foster

September 4, 1948 - January 7, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Allison Foster on January 7, 2025, at Kingston General Hospital, surrounded by family. Stephen was a devoted husband to Eleanor, a proud father to Stephen (Adele), Skyla (Matthew), and Samuel, and a beloved grandfather to Grayson, Abigail, and Logan. He was predeceased by his parents Allison Foster and Gloria Large, and siblings Schuyler, Shane, and Sloane.

In his younger years, Stephen was deeply involved in his community, serving on Kingston Township Council and many other organizations. A double-lung transplant recipient in 2018, his family is forever grateful for the extra time they had with him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at James Reid Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Kale Clark

May 3, 2009 - January 4, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the tragic passing of Kale Clark, aged 15, on January 4, 2025. Kale was a bright star who loved music, acting, and adventure. He was a grade 10 student at Kingston Secondary School and a talented performer, aspiring to be the next Elton John.

A Celebration of Kale’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at The Spire (82 Sydenham St., Kingston) at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joe’s Music Mill or Kingston Secondary School's Music and Drama Programs are appreciated.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Peter was a distinguished criminal lawyer who dedicated over 40 years to the legal profession. Vasant S. Mhatre

April 13, 1935 – December 24, 2024

We sadly announce the passing of Vasant Mhatre, peacefully at home, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Born on April 13, 1935, to parents Shamrao and Laxmi Mhatre in Mumbai, India, Vasant was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Vasant is predeceased by his siblings Nilkanth (Nirmala), Nalini, Nagesh (Lee), and Narayan. He was the devoted husband of Vijayashree for 49 years and will be dearly missed by his daughter Sangita (Peter), son Kiran (Karen), and grandchildren Isla and Emerson. He is also survived by his cousins, nephews, and nieces across Canada, the United States, and India.

Vasant came to Canada in 1965 and worked at Kingston General Hospital as a Medical Technologist for 34 years. Vasant’s greatest joy was his family, and he cherished gatherings with family and friends. He loved cricket, hockey, baseball, music, and dance, bringing joy to all who knew him.

A private family funeral has been conducted. Memorials or donations may be made to Martha’s Table.
