It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas James Edmunds on June 6, 2025, in his 86th year.
Doug was a kind and thoughtful man, known for his quiet strength, gentle humor, and deep appreciation for the people around him.
Predeceased by his loving parents, James and Doris, and his dear sisters, Doug is remembered with love by his close friends Debbie and Brent,
and their loyal dog Loki, who was always by his side. He will be fondly missed by his many friends at The Waterford, his Lawrence Park neighbours,
and all who shared in his warmth and wisdom.
Doug found joy in the simple things—a morning drive for eggs, bacon, and coffee, quiet evenings with a good book by the fire,
and sunny afternoons by the pool. He loved history, particularly the world wars, and spent countless hours building detailed model airplanes.
His travels with Carol added even more beautiful chapters to his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at James Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre,
1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston. Inurnment at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Doug’s memory may be made to UHKF Connell 9 or ICU, or to the VON.
